What to Expect:
Join us on this trek to the iconic Heart Rock hidden away on the McKelligon saddle. This is a offtrail 2-mile loop hard to strenuous hike with amazing scenery. You will be out of breath and you will want to have plenty of drinks on this short but mighty adventure, decent down a steep grade of equally uneven terrain where you will have to watch every step. The magic and beauty of the city is like none other in El Paso. Heart Rock is a hidden gem that only few ever reach so join us on this guided adventure to a famous Heart Rock.

You will visit two caves and take plenty of photos where you will be able to have the moments forever.
Terrain: Rocky, uneven terrain with a lot of desert life, longs sleeve, a good idea along with sticks and hiking shoes with good grip. The assent is steep and vertical and will give you a cardiac workout starting from the first steps.

What to Bring:
Water, 2-3 liters minimum. Good close toed hiking shoes, hiking poles if you have them, a good hat for protection from the sun as there is no shade on the trail. Snacks are always good to have. Bring any medications you may personally need. Electrolytes are good to have.

What not to bring: Pets, first time hikers, anyone who is not familiar with offtrail.

JOIN US! FREE & FAMILY FRIENDLY EVENT: We will be meeting at the scenic & historic Memorial Park (1701 N Copia St), in the heart of Central El Paso. This park boasts grassy rolling hills, nice trees, and an incredible city view...
NOTE: We will have our lanterns, and our skeleton Chuco, to help you find us!
NOTE: Please meet us at the BIGGER bridge, in the middle of the park- The closest parking will be the parking area on Grant Street- The bridge is visible straight ahead from this parking area.

For this meetup, we will be discussing local legends, and the haunted history of the park & surrounding neighborhoods. Guests are also welcome to share their own ghost stories!
This is a meetup for those who have an interest in the paranormal, mysterious, & mystical, including: haunted history, local legends & lore, spirits & ghosts, UFOs, cryptozoology, and many other types of unexplained mysteries.
This meetup will be FREE, family-friendly, and open to the public- All are welcome! PLEASE NOTE: Anyone under the age of 18 attending an event must be accompanied by an adult.
