Destination El Paso and the General Consulate of Mexico in El Paso invite residents, visitors, and the community of the Paso del Norte region to commemorate the 213th anniversary of Mexico’s Independence. Join us for a celebration in honor of El Grito de Independencia: Vivamos México! Friday, September 15, 2023 Convention Center Plaza, 1 Civic Center Plaza, El Paso, TX 79901 5:00PM – 10:00PM Official Ceremony: 8:00PM To celebrate this monumental day, guests will enjoy “El Grito,” a patriotic Mexican ceremony honoring Mexico’s independence. The celebration will also highlight the history and binational culture and aims to strengthen the bonds of friendship between Mexico and the United States. The event will provide guests with food trucks, family-friendly crafts, and entertainment including:

• Ballet Folklórico Camino Real
• Mariachi Los Arrieros
• Grupo Status
• La Conquistadora Banda y Conquistadora Norteño Banda

The official ceremony with the participation of the ITCJ’s (Instituto Tecnológico de Ciudad Juárez) Escolta and Banda de Guerra will take place at 8:00pm. The Consulate General of Mexico in El Paso and Destination El Paso appreciate the support of the media in disseminating the information.
