Pandemic Reflections: Collecting 2020 and the Power of Oral History

Collecting 2020 is an oral history project where the Centennial Museum interviewed UTEP students, faculty, and staff about how the events of 2020 affected their lives, including: Covid-19, social justice issues, and the 2020 elections. This panel will discuss the logistics of the Collecting 2020 project while allowing for the critical reflection on the social, political, and public health transformations that occurred during 2020. This public event will allow members of the community to learn about the power of oral history in shaping their views of the recent past and provide a platform to discuss these recent events that have impacted almost every life. This event is on August 25, 2022 at 12:00 pm.
