El Paso Border Folk Festival Music & Dance Conference and Concert Series

The El Paso Border Folk Festival (BFF) is the only program of its type in El Paso to host both a music & dance conference, and a concert series with the mission to preserve, promote and teach the folk music that makes our border culture unique. The annual music conference, held the first week of October, opens its doors to students involved in school & community music & dance programs. While the music conference is mariachi music based, it is through a variety of music genres that the festival carries out its mission. The festival culminates with a concert where the El Paso community is serenaded with a rich variety of border folk music. And yes, the festival promises to always showcase mariachi!
